The Mortal Instruments Series By Cassandra Clare

Ok So here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for... My first book review. For my first review I have decided to do it on more that one book, In fact it is one three books.

The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare includes the titles:
City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass

A brief overview of the books:
City of Bones-- When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder — much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Clary knows she should call the police, but it's hard to explain a murder when the body disappears into thin air and the murderers are invisible to everyone but Clary.
Equally startled by her ability to see them, the murderers explain themselves as Shadowhunters: a secret tribe of warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. Within twenty-four hours, Clary's mother disappears and Clary herself is almost killed by a grotesque demon.
But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know....

City Of Ashes--Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who's becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn't ready to let her go — especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil — and also her father.
To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings — and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?
In this breathtaking sequel to City of Bones, Cassandra Clare lures her readers back into the dark grip of New York City's Downworld, where love is never safe and power becomes the deadliest temptation.

City of Glass--To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters — never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and her best friend, Simon, has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City — whatever the cost?
Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling The Mortal Instruments.

My review: This series is amazing. It has love, mystery, action and suspence, tragedy. Everything you are looking for in a book, you will find it here. It can be found in the Young Adult Section of any book store. I highly recomend reading this particular series.

On a side note there are more books coming out for this series. Number four recently hit the book shelves. Its called City of Fallen Angels. There will be a total of 6 book when this series is completed

If you like Cassandra Clare's writing she also has another series that she is working on, its similar to The Mortal Instruments but is called The Inferal Devices

EXTRA, EXTRA, Read all About It

Attention all that read this blog. This hopefully wont be your ordinary boring blog, at least that is my goal. If you like music, or reading, or just like reading about someone's life this is a good place to be!

I am a very passionate person, especially when it comes to music and books. I am a lot like my cousins, once I find something that I'm really good at I tend to stick to it. Music has been my crutch throughout my entire life, I know what your saying, Im too young to be saying that, but if you have lived the life that I have, then you would understand why I say what I say.

Ever walked by someone on the street or in the coffee shop and they have there noses in a book? There is a reason for that! My particular reason for being a passionate reader is that sometimes you just need an escape from your own life! Ever feel that way, even for just a moment? You got into trouble at home, or you just need to get away for a while and forget all of your issues? That would be my reason for reading.

Many of you don't really know who I am, so let me tell you a little about me. I am 22 years old, and from a place called Maryville, just 20 minutes outside St. Louis. I have a big family, and I try to be close to all of them. Some of my family I have just met, and I am working on my bonding with them. I love my family, they are my core reason for existence. My immediate family (ie mom, dad, brother) have gone through a lot in these past 4 years. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago, yeah I know, party stopper! And it totally was, my life just stopped. I mean my mother is my best friend, and now there is a possibility that I wont have her anymore...bummer... thankfully she beat it...the first time. Last year she found out that it came back and because it is located in 5 different parts of her body she is now classified as stage 4, terminal!

In reality we are all terminal, because we all will eventually parish, but to have your life cut short and to know that sometime in the near future you will no longer be walking and talking on our wonderful planet can do a few things to you. So far everything is stable, but honestly its only a matter of time. And I don't like the feeling of know that I will sooner rather than later have no mother! So you can imagine that my life here lately hasn't been going to well.

On a happy note, my cousin Kaase got married this passed weekend to her lovely Husband Adam. Many of you may have read her blog, Infashuation. Its all about fashion! Congrats to the lovely, happy couple!

Ok, so back to my opening point. If you love music or reading, this is the place to be, read. you get what I saying!
